Today in Moronic Memes #2

Oh where to begin with this one.

First off, no one has banned this confederate battle flag and such a ban would undoubtedly be found unconstitutional.  The flag has been removed from some public spaces because 150 years after the end of the Civil War, some of us have decided that a state advocating a symbol of white supremacy and treason might not be the best way to be inclusive of your citizenry.  I'll repeat this again because many of you appear to be slow:  The State not flying a flag is not a violation of your rights.  Wal-Mart choosing not to sell a flag is not a violation of your rights.

Now it's interesting you bring up people stomping on the American flag which presuming it's not someone else's flag, is an offensive expression of their First Amendment rights.  You do realize the Civil War was an act of treason don't you?  If you fly this flag, you might as well be stomping on the American flag.  If you fly the American flag and the Confederate battle flag, you're confused or maybe you're being ironic like Joker's helmet in Full Metal Jacket.

Many of you say the Confederate battle flag is a symbol of heritage and you're right, a heritage of treason and terrorism in defense of slavery, just as the Swastika represents a heritage of genocide and conquest.  If the flag means something else to you, then find a new symbol.  Hang the flag wherever you want as long as it's not on public property. I like morons to self-identify.
